The Thompson Family

A butcher shop with a bloodline.

Bill Thompson opened Thompson & Son Beef Processing on Blanche Street in 1954. The trade passed to Jerry Thompson Sr., then to Jerry Jr. — same building, same standards, same handshake.

Today the plant runs as Albemarle Meat Processing, NCDA-approved for both custom and inspected work. Whether it's a steer you raised or the buck you took at first light, it gets cut the way you asked and labeled the way you'd want.
