- Roasts, boneless stew, ground beef
- Aging to your preference
- Labeled & freezer-wrapped
Three generations of the Thompson family have run this plant. Custom beef, lamb, and goat processing — and the deer processor Stanly County hunters have trusted for decades.
Bill Thompson opened Thompson & Son Beef Processing on Blanche Street in 1954. The trade passed to Jerry Thompson Sr., then to Jerry Jr. — same building, same standards, same handshake.
Today the plant runs as Albemarle Meat Processing, NCDA-approved for both custom and inspected work. Whether it's a steer you raised or the buck you took at first light, it gets cut the way you asked and labeled the way you'd want.
"Customer service is outstanding. When there was a question about my processing request, they did not hesitate to call me."
Every animal is cut to your instructions — thickness, roasts, ground, packaging sizes. No guesswork, no mystery packages.
